    Fiery in Konica 7040

    Y have been working with a Konica 7040 with Fiery X2E.It had a hard disk 2 GB.I bought a 80 GB Hd.When I mark:FORMAT ,receive ERROR formatting drive.What file sistem and partition must I use in my computer ?.I used Fat 16 and fat32.Thanks.Carlos from Argentina.

    Not 100% sure but I think you will have to clip this drive to 20GB as the controller may not be able to see a drive of that size. The drive will format itself while you install the system software.

        Using Higher Capacity Hard Drive Than Original

        Check with hard drive manufacturer spec sheet to determine if the model can be capacity limited. On the FIERY X2w I believe that the hard drive must be strapped to limit capacity to 30 gb in order to conform to Windows constraints. Limit capacity before attampting Format and System loading.

          copyguy is right. The website of the manufacturer should provide clipping tools. Samsung drives can be clipped and are reliable.
