Just trying to get input from techs who have traveled the road I am on. I do not have any with 720K yet, but was wondering if the 720K PM Kit was acually needed? Also, the developer units are rated at 480K. Is this a must. I went back to my posts on this series and found some good info in other areas. So, why not ask the ones who know.

On these machines, we dont worry about pm's but replace parts when needed.I replace dev on time but if dev unit looks good, (and it usally does) I keep it.We still buy 240k pm kits as it saves a lot of money over separate parts. We have a few with 800k with original dev units. We have not ordered any 720k pm kit yet.

I skip the 120k and 720k PM. I will reset the DV unit if the CQ is still good. As Onetek mentioned, I replace parts as needed. I will warn you about resetting too much though. I think it is F7-67 and 68. It will keep track of every time you reset a unit. If these counters get too high (4-6), the 720k message will appear continuously. Go into service mode and drop the counters back to 1 and the 720k pm message will disappear.

I agree with Onetek and Mojorolla.
We, for the most part, just run to failure and replace as needed.
