Konica Minolta EP6001 help

Hello all, I am trying to get an old Konica Minolta EP6001 CS Pro working....it was throwing a C0000 error, drive motor not working, opened it up and it looks like a roller finger inside has somehow chewed down into one of the rollers....

I am looking for a parts schematic/blowup so I can determine what roller this is...

I am not a copier tech by trade, I am an IT guy.....

I was able to open the copier up, found the issue, tried to unroll the roller to get the chew loose, did that, but now I need that roller...

Said roller is a red rubber rollder, probably 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter....it is right below the drive motor assembly....

can anyone help?

Thanks

You can download the manuals from:
Index of /protectedmembers/130914/EP8015 (http://www.copierprofessionals.com/protectedmembers/130914/EP8015/)

It may take a little searching but all the info you need should be there.

Good Luck

ok, I got the roller out, I think it is called the fuser roller, not sure....Ok, looks like it is the lower fuser roller that has been chewed up....

so that obviously needs to be replaced....anyone have any idea what would have caused this....looks like the plastic covering on the roller probably got too hot and bubbled, then one of the seperator fingers grabbed the protruding/bubbled/whatever, plastic cover and let the finger dig in....

Is there something else I should look for or replace as the main culprit?

Thanks

Change the lower fuser fingers (metallic ones) as well.
Also you should check if this machine uses a oil roller above these two. by this time you should change that too.

The cause of this failure is more likely the lack of regular service, the toner debris build-up underneath the metallic fingers made these got trapped in a bubble of the lower fuser roller sleeve (probably because long ago have to be changed. these parts have a calculated life-see your manual-for more details.).

A sure shot will be completely rebuild that unit (fuser unit) by changing:
Upper fuser roller
Lower fuser roller (in the photo)
upper picker fingers
Lower metallic fingers
Oil roller (if used on this machine)

Good luck.

The part number for the lower fuser roller is 1129 2021 01 (PM life is 400k), the lower claws are 1075 5757 01, I would also check that the cleaning web is O/K and also that it is advancing. It is also a good idea to ensure that the fuser frame is not bent as this can cause the claws to dig in. If the PM life is passed then maybe the roller just failed , I have had this in the past.
