Hi All
has anyone an idea why prints to a C220 (and more than one) have too much magenta in them. The customer is using Image ready and had a Xerox before.
Any ideas
Thanks
Bob

Seems a common thing these days, color tints towards magenta. I've had to fiddle around with the voltage for the magenta IU, calibrating, adjust the colors in the PCL6 drivers and on and on... Started seeing this with C451/C550/C650 where we had to replace several EEPROMs, some times it worked, some times it didn't. This seems to have carried over to the newer models, but I've seen no explanation from Koncia Minolta as of yet. Last time I spoke to them regarding this they recommended trying different voltage settings, ramping up the black and toning down the colors some, but magenta the most.
I've yet to pinpoint what the problem is, and some customers notice it more than others (realtors, for example...).
Then, as a general rule, the more programs and processes you put the print through, the more it'll distort.
