I have a c6500 that started producing an image offset after the first full PM. It appears as if cyan, magenta and yellow are reproducing along a 1" strip along the leading edge of the page. Fuser unit has been replaced, two new boards in the back, all the developer and toner removed and replaced, new transfer belt...Offset is there off the glass or from a file. Black only or greyscale is fine. Only color. Copier is only 4 months old with 154,000 clicks. We have been down for a week now and time is running out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have pulled the red screws out of the drums right? Scan a sample in for us to see.

By any chance did you replace the primary transfer rollers within the transferbelt unit?

Sounds like the black timing wheel on the side of the unit is out of sync with the CMY rollers.

I think "random" has hit the nail on the head. I've had a couple of my techs forget to remove the red screws from the drum units and got the same result. The red screws are for the cleaning blade pressure, if they're left in, you get image offset.

the shift is 0.8mm

As i posted on another thread that IS WELL WITHIN SPECIFICATION.You can mess with settings to compensate for paper shrinkage etc.. but 0.8mm is way within manufacture expectations... check the S/M for tolerances( but over a D/Sided sheet i think is about 0.8% per side... ill let you do the math on an sra3 sheet)..si
