    [Misc] brother mfc 9840

    Dear friend...

    I would like to know the default password for security . Bz coustomer lost that password i try find in that macine i cant retrive the password. I check the manuals also i cant find out. If any 1 knows how to retrive te password. Pls reply

      If it is the keyboard lock for changing the default settings password you require you can override the current setting on most Brother machines by inputting the last four digits of the current meter reading which you can print out from either the user settings page or via service mode. On some machines it is possible to view the counter on the display via the keyboard settings.
      If you print it out and it does not work try adding 1 to the count and re-inputting this figure as some machines do not take into account the page they have just printed when outputting to print the meter count.

        I cant enter user setting to put fax station id. i cant do anything in that user setting

            I only know the default password for the web-interface - it's written there if you enter the web interface, I think it's:

            Username: user (or admin)
            Password: access

            Or you can try resetting the entire machine to factory default via service program "01"
