I just picked up a C203 and subsequently purchased a DF-611 for it. I installed the DF-611 today, so far so good, except for one thing.

When ever I load even one sheet of paper in it, a message pops up that says something like "the number of sheets in the ADF exceed the maximum allowed of 0". Sorry, I'm not at the office right now so I don't have the exact message.

I'm assuming there is something else I need to do, but I am unable to locate any information on the installation of the DF-611.

Any direction or assistance would be appreciated very much. Thanks!

Here is exactly what is being displayed:

"The number of originals exceeds the capacity of the document feeder tray specified with 0. Reduce the number of originals."

Thanks again for any assistance!

Okay, well, I figured it out.

The "brand new" DF-611 that I bought is faulty.

How? Well, it is missing a few parts - like almost the entire paper feed section!

Yup, that would cause a problem!!!:rolleyes:Is is missing a bunch of parts, right?I can see the threaded plastic holes on the side where there used to be screws, etc. I looked at a copy of the parts manual with the exploded diagram (which is a bit confusing) to come to my conclusions. But the seller is wanting to tell me that he doesn't think it is missing anything. Does anyone have a picture of this same part of a DF-611 they would care to post so I can send him a comparison?
