Hi
I've got problem with this printer. Few years it works correctly, three monts ago I'd reinstall one computer and something wrong was happend.
Can't print anything, print list dialog box says me: "printing" "printing - restart" "printing""restart" and again, and again, and again.
Today I had to reinstal good working printer on other machine, and I had the same state :/
Printer is connected by tcp/ip, every thing is ok., ping works correctly with ip and dns name, I think drivers is ok too, because it worked few years with it, maybe something wrong with system (w2k and xp), but I can't find any solution.
regards

Go to your computer's printer properties, go to Port settings and try to put 10001 instead of 9100 on the port number.

I've changed properties and I've get only "print error" message.
I've tried to do other setting - anything doesn't works
Printer Computer
9100 9101
9100 10000
9999 10000
10000 10001

Anybody has other ideas?

It could be that your print controller has packed it in.

If you are unsure as to the RAW port that the machine uses, try telnet using the below command:

telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9100 - replace the x's with the IP address of the machine.

If your screen goes blank with a flashing cursor in the top left corner, then you connected to the correct port.

Other ports to try:

10000
10001
9101
9099

Sometimes people changed the RAW port to different numbers.

You could also try changing the setup of the TCP/IP Port used to print to the machine and use the LPR setting with a queue name of "print" (can someone please verify that the queue name is correct as it has been a long time since I have had to work on one of these machines).
