I have a bizhub 363 with scan to email set up thru gmail. The emails go thru but if you go and look in the job history for sent emails I see "Deleted: Image Log Transfer failed" Only info I can find on this error has to do with ftp or WEBdav set ups. Anyone else come across this?

it's gmail set up. smtp.gmail.com at port 587 with the Start TLS on and authentication filled in is pretty much all I did.

I think the machine may be setup to log (keep a record of scan document) all scan documents to a server (FTP). You could check with the following steps:

1, enter administrator mode
2, select security settings
and check if Image log transfer settings is On.

Cheers,

You need SMTP server on the network.

Why dose he need a SMTP server on the Network ? he has clearly showed that he is using gmail as the SMTP Server relay, as long as the device has internet access you can use an external mail server you don't need one on the local LAN.

Dellboy is probably the winner..although I can't imagine accidently turning this feature on, as it defaulted to off in the softswitches...Is this a used MFP?

Turn off Star TLS and turn on SSL (direct from Google)

Was this ever resolved? I am getting this error now on a 423, and can't find anything pertaining to it online or on the KM database.

I swapped the Start TLS with the SSL and don't believe I had this issue again...

Only had this problem once, and it was related to an email notification for fax receipt. Turn off that notification and the problem disappears.
