Has anyone modified one to use Bizhub 250 toner, developer, drums, fusing units & developing units ?

The above mentioned parts for the Di2510 are now impossible to source for me (genuine only, not interested in aftermarket)

would like to know if its possible before wasting my time. i know the dev unit on the bizhubs incorporates a toner filter, but is that going to get in the way of anything ?

What toner & developer can i use in the 2510? I cant get it here...

I can rebuild the 2510 dev unit anyway.

Developer is very different and therefore the ATDC sensor will not work. Also is the lower unit missing the airduct.

Drums are the same and also the fuser rollers can be used. I'm not sure about the fuser unit frame structure itself cause we have only Bizhubs and the older Di-XXX but not Di-XXXX in the field.

wow, well that sucks.

I guess its time to upgrade them - its a shame because I have 3 of them that are otherwise perfect with very low meter readings (I cant get genuine toner anymore and now one of them needs a complete imaging unit as its in poor condition)

You're not having Katun Downunder?

I hate to advise Katun since I didn't forgive them the rotten way they treated the issue with the crappy LFR bearings for the Di-450 in the past but here we go:

Supplies 3510:

Toner 8937-749 Katun # 25339
Developer 8936-418 Katun # 22491
OPC rebuild kit Katun # 35860
UFR 4030-5701-03 Katun # 24317
LFR 4030-5702-02 Katun # 25296

If you need the modified drum spacer collars (see my Avatar) to beef up the developing unit I can send them to you. I have the eventual necessary seals as well. You can take the spiral mixing roller out of a Di-350/351 unit in case the ATDC wiper is worn. This applies to the other mixing rollers, gears, bushings and mag roller itself as well. We rebuild our Bizhub 350 series Image Units by cannibalizing not any more needed used Image Units of the Di-XXX series which are still in good condition.

you can use Tn114 toner and DV 110 for bizhub 163 ( if you still need use di 3510 ) as the same ;)

It has been my observation that the problems with the collars or rollers wearing in the dev units started when the BH250/350 series started. You can actually feel the difference in the developer with your fingers. All this crap from Konica about getting dev under the mylars is just that, crap. The increased wear is due to the characteristics of the dev. I think you would be going down a risky path by switching drums & dev.
Incidentally, the 2510/3510 would have to have been one of my favorite copiers. We had virtually had no problems with these copiers at all. As per usual, Konica fixed the things that didn't need fixing on the next series and effectively went backwards.

I was of the understanding that DV110 and DV310 are the same except for the fact that there is 200g in DV110 and 300g in DV310. The drums are interchangable and that usually means that the compostion of the dev is the same. I have used the same drum to rebuild image units all the the way from the Di251 up to the BH350. Therefore, to me that means the dev is the same. I could be wrong though.

Di-152, 183, 250, 350, 251, 351 Series uses MT-106 (new number DV-110) developer. Can also be used for Di-22510, 3010, 3510 with adapted weigth.

BH-200, 250, 350 Series uses DV-310 developer and is physically NO way compatible with the previous mentioned.

The same applies to the toner of both kinds as well.

That the drums are the same has nothing to say.

Are you looking for "photoconductor 305" imaging units? if so I have a couple of them, also if you need toner for this machine 8937-753 i may have some of those as well. as well as fuser assy's

let me know

Hans

Why do you need to adapt the weight of DV110 to use it in the Di2010/3510?

Hansoon

........with adapted weight.

Sorry my mistake. No need to consider the weight it can be used right away.
