What\'s an error49 on a HP-4200? any tips? :blush:

it points to a very vague \"internal printer error\". don\'t ya just love it? my manual says it indicates an invalid command or data was sent to formatter causing processor to stop. says to verify all cables are connected, turn ptr. off then on to reset, cancel all print jobs and then resend. try to isolate any offending print job. also says if formatter pan assy. or dc controller was removed, make sure rib. cable between dc cont. and the interconnect pcb is connected.

That\'s on of the few manuals I don\'t have for HP\'s. I would agree with Raym, reseat everything and try to figure out if it\'s a spicific print job that is killing it.
