I want to remove the tray 1 to c6500

I want to remove the tray 1 to c6500. disconnect it from the contact but now unable to get photocopy. What should I do to operate the machine normally without the tray 1?

I assume it does not work?

You might try trading the entire feed assembly with one of the other trays.

Setting DIP Sw 18-0 to 1 will make Tray one disabled.

By this comment, I would assume that you aren't a trained tech. If you aren't, then please get some one in and don't play around with DIPSW settings as you could end up changing the wrong setting which in turn means an even bigger bill for the time spent getting your machine back online.
