Hi and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide. This machine just started showing the t17-020 error code. Error code information says that the solenoid counter is not connected. I guess during moving around this may have happened. Where will I find this solenoid and does anyone have any other ideas for me if reconnecting does not work?

Thanks again

The solenoid is inside the counter. Either one of the counters (1 for copies, 1 for masters) has gotten disconnected or has gone bad. Remove the drum unit and remove the front door then remove the front covers. Then you can get to the counters and reconnect them if they have come out. Good luck.

Great!! Thanks very much for the help. I will tackle that tomorrow. If both solenoids are connected I would assume that means one of them is bad. Is there a way to tell which one that might be?

Unfortunately neither counter was disconnected. Is replacing the counters my only option?

OK-my local Riso dealer is being very uncooperative on selling the parts. They would rather do a service call. Any idea where I can buy the counters? I have done a google search and am getting a lot of sites that sell ink etc but not the replacement parts.
