Sometimes the bizhubs and 7 do not get along. they don't talk nice to each other.

:oFunny I should see this today, as I just left a customer trying to do the same thing.
There is a conflict I am told between the 32 bit and 64 bit. My customer is not pleased
about this cuz his machine is in good running condition and does not want to upgrade.
I understand that there is a work around. I will have a look at the post mentioned.

Now if the economy was better they would just upgrade.
And that would also help the economy.

Why is it the copiers fault ?

windows XP is still being supported till 2014, seems pretty simple to me

I'm not having any trouble with scan to email. The problem seems to be the print driver.

Here's the depressing part: Over two days I installed and removed 20 different print drivers from various models from Kyocera to HP to Konica Minolta. One of them worked, but I don't know which one it was, so I have to start all over again. I do know that it speaks PCL5c, and didn't like the Kyocera drivers. From the Kyocera driver I get two pages of PostScript error preceding the print job.

For those of you unfamiliar with Kyocera printers, the machine's native language is always PreScribe, and the first one or two lines of code (in PreScribe) tell the machine what print emulation to use. The Konica Minolta made printer doesn't understand the PreScribe code, so it just prints the code exactly how it arrives, one line per page, until it finds something that it can understand.

That's just a long way of saying that I know it's not a PreScribe based machine. =^..^=

BHC350 Standard Controller = PCL5c
BHC350 Fiery Controller = PCL/PS

Has anyone tried looking for the driver within the Windows Updates which is displayed when adding a printer?

You might find a driver there under Minolta, Konica, Konica Minolta or EFI.

This is the link to windows 7 support. If it says yes then one of three options.
1 on the download website for KM
2 use the win vista x64 off of the download site
3 use the window update to download the driver (this can take as long as 8-10 minutes depending on internet speed.

it looks like you have to use the ic 401 to make it work? we have a few companies that refuse to buy new. ane they are h using windows 7 with the c350 but they are using the standard embedded controller. but there are tons of issues with finishing. etc... we have afew low volume accounts that are under 150k. that just do not want to upgrade. what is a person to do?

I have used vista drivers and even xp drivers with win 7 with success when I had to install a c350 in a current environment. Didn't have an issue with it. I just don't remember which it was for the standard controller. (xp or vista I mean).

Edit: Just checked, on my win 7 32bit laptop am using the bizhub c350 pcl5c driver version 2.01 (again I dont recall if it was a vista or an xp driver tho!)

Regards!
A.

I didn't notice anybody post anything about installing drivers in compatibility mode.
Perhaps that might help?

Thanks to all the replies. We were able to use the vista drivers and get printing up! However, were still having problems with scanning. Anybody have detailed instructions for setting up scan to folder between these two - windows 7 & c350.
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, the Bizhub C350 does not support smb scanning. You have to scan to email, ftp or the hard drive of the copier (if it has one).

Hi, I have bizhub C250 machines and so far have no problem on connectivity of XP, Windows 7 32bit & 64bit. (i have not yet tried on Mac and Linux :D)
I have plans of getting bizhubC350 but as i read this forum, other seems to have some problem, also found out that this machine doesn't have scan to smb.
