I need to change the developer and the drum on a 163. I hear that the atdc sensor must be set without the bootle in the copier. I don't know how to do that. Is it done in service mode?

After changing the developer, you need to 'read' the toner/developer ratio. This is done with 'ATDC Auto Adjust' function that is found in Service Mode. But before changing the developer be sure to run twice ATDC Auto Adjust with no toner bottle in the machine, just to be sure that all the old recycled toner that is on the ducts will be fed into the developing mixing chamber.Comment
