I have a friend that has this printer. I want to do stuff like e-mail from the printer, create PDFs from the printer, or fax from the printer. The printer appears to need some software to communicate with (on a computer), and can't actually do this from the printer itself. I have gone through all of the configurations, and it is all correct.

Does anyone know where I can find this software?

The software that you need is called an 'Email Server'.

To fax, you will need a 'Fax board and phone line'.

And BTW.........The 7145 is NOT a Bizhub machine.

Weirdly enough a number mine DO say Bizhub on them. Notably the the 7222-35 series and the 7145 among them! But it tiz a pure Konica regardless.

Thank you for the reply "TheOwl"

So this printer is completely self sufficient then, and doesn't need any external server software to allow the printer to scan to PDF then??? I assume that I just have the authentication settings wrong then.

The printer looks like it should be able to do all of the functions without external software, but the problems that I had, along with the environment that this printer used to run in, made me believe it required external software.

Also, it is DEFINITELY labeled as a Bizhub printer, but thanks for the clarification.
