Hi Guys,

I have loads of these little machines and have the same problem on 5 of them. It jams from tray 2 and doesn't usually get out of
the tray when it jams. Only jams every 40-50 pages. I replaced all the seperation parts the feed roll, and feed roll clutch. I've also
tried a lighter spring and a heavier spring.

When it does jam and I open the tray and turn the roller gently by hand it does move the paper despite the fact it's touching the paper.
It's like the roller isn't grippy enough.

Anyone else having this issue? I can't find any bulletins on it.

Put a shim between the 2 trays we have done this to everyone of our machines for the same issue and it resolved the problem on 12 machines.

Hi 4real,

Sorry - Shim between 2 trays???

It only has one tray. strangely called tray 2, tray 1 is the bypass on the side.

Are you thinking of a different machine?

make sure the metal plate under the separator isn't loose and sticking out catching the paper.

Also make sure all the little stick on pad / feet are still underneath the machine, they come off very easily and the tray gets twisted.

smaller the machine, the bigger the pain in the ass.

Got the same problem. What is working for us is to carefully loosen the small metall plate under the feedroller and move it a bit up, maybe by 1mm at a time and test it.
I am experiencing a new problem with these machines- error code 0094 ,"2nd image transfer/retraction failure". Any suggestions on this problem?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've had the loose metal plate on several machines. Fixed it with selotape.

I'll have a look at those feet and try adjusting the metal plate and let you know.

Sorry never had a 0094.

Also check the tray exit sensor in the vertical transport.
I found the flag for this sensor off the keepers causing jams once in awhile.

The shim should be on the left side near the front cornercorner between tray 2 and 3. I can post pictures next week, it has fixed every machine we have that has the additional tray

I would suggest posting a new thread so that more people see your fault.

Shim would go almost directly below power switch.
