Konica Minolta C284 [Archive]

I have a C284 that brings up a C-E301 error code. I can copy, print and fax OK but the error will appear as soon as i try to scan to email. I have already tried flashing the firmware but it still doesn''t work? Any suggestions?

Firmware Bug

bizhub C224/C284/C364

Special firmware version (Web browser LK-101v3 support; Filename: GQQ-65 A1610Y0-F000-GQQ-65.exe)
Special firmware version GPQ-65 (Filename: A1610Y0-F000-GPQ-65.exe)
Notes:
1. HDD Format will be necessary when CE301 or CED01 is displayed.
2. Please refer to attached Program Release Information prior to installing the firmware.

Unless you have the LK-101, then please don't install GQQ-65.

Make sure you install GPQ-65 or the latest version, which actually has a lower firmware version number, but was released later than GPQ-65, which is GC4-65. GC4-65 also includes the fixes from GPQ-65 and others as well.

I have installed the GC4-65 firmware and also tried replacing the HDD. Performing both of these didn't fix the issue. What is the next step??

GC5-65 is now out.

Updated firmware to G00-68 and it fixed the code. Thanks for your help guys :)

Can I ask did your error CE301 ever return after the firmware update to G00-68, I ask because i have a C654 that has the latest firmware GC6-68 new hard drive and new mfp and still it has returned. I'm now desperate for answers as multiple firmware versions have supposedly been the fix to no avail.
I'd appreciate if you could let me know

Version 70 is now out in the UK maybe that will help if its available in your region.

No it hasn't returned since i updated the firmware to G00-68, maybe the new 70 version might fix your issue?
