Hello,

Printer is a Kyocera TASKalfa 300ci (I will post further information below with printer info)

I have used this forum previously for searching / information but I am stuck a bit so any assistance is appreciated.

I am using KM Net Viewer 5.3 to try resetting the Command Centre password, I can log in from the Device OK with Username and Password of 3000 without issue.
When attempting to do a command centre password reset command (which I found in another thread on here) !R! ACNT "REST";EXIT; it asks for Administrator Log-in and password which I tried 3000/3000 and it throws up an error 'Result: Failed
Authentication error'

Last week I was able to log into Command Centre with admin00 but since I have done a firmware update.

I assume I'm doing the correct process > I have found the Device > Right Click > Advanced > TCP/IP Send Data
I select the Text field and enter the early mentioned command
It asks for authentication, i put in username and password and get an authentication error.

Some additional Printer information
Taskalfa 300ci
System Firmware: 2H7_2F00.013.006
Panel Firmware: 2H7_7000.013.006

Again any assistance is appreciated.

From KMNet, try typing "Admin" "Admin" credentials or admin "admin00", rather than 3000 3000.. I've never seen an account lock because of FW update??

You can't login using http://your devices IP admin00?

Or you could try using the KMNet Admin util, using cred admin admin, to access account settings..

Thanks RollingROAR,
Don't know why I didn't try a non-device administrator account

I have an administrator account on the device I used, Admin / Admin
This lets me send the command

It appears !R! ACNT "REST";EXIT; resets the job accounting password?
I also tried !R! EGRE; EXIT; but it didn't appear to do anything.

Anyone know of Command Centre passwords to reset the password or even remove for the command centre?

if i have a problem with kmnet viewer i just reinstall it and put in new password as it sets itself up (or even no password).
this does not affect counts on the machine as they are held on the machine not kmnet viewer.after i load it i get it to find the machine then manage machine and all the counts just pop up.

Hello,

Thanks for the assistance, using KM Net viewer I have managed to setup the printer just fine for now.

I can wait until Kyocera technician comes and he can assist further with getting into the command centre.

Thread can be closed.
