Oce VarioLink 5022 is actualy a Konica Minolta bizhub 501.
We have the Konica Minolta Pagescope Enterprice Suite but unfortunately does not working with Variolink.

Fair enough. You need to enter service mode, system 2, dip SW, change the correct switch to show the OEM screen and print engine in the config page.

Ok i understand that.
The problem is that the service manual does not mention dipSW for the OEM screen.

I've noticed within system 2 on the 501 a button called "OEM" which has a on or off setting. Don't know what that does as there is no description in the manual.

The problem is that in our particular machine does not exist oem button. Must be a dipsw to enable, but do not know which.

As I said earlier, this should be only for color machines. However i have tried. bizhub 501 default setting of dipsw 10. Bin Assignment "01000110" and not "00000000". Hex Assignment "46" and not "00". "Fix" buuton is "Set" button. "End" button" is "Exit" button. However i have tried Hex Assignment "02". Set instead of Fix. Exit instead of End. Power the MFP OFF/ON. But nothing. I wish to inform that I have done this process in a color machine, and it worked fine. Obviously we need another dipsw. Thanks.

Cant help you then, but i just tested this solution on a Konica 601, worked fine - turned off the globe, then put it back to KM standard.

Only think i can think of is the OCE firmware is customized or something. Not very familiar.

May i ask why you need to make it back to a konica, unless you change the toner hopper it will still take oce toner.

Ok so check out your firmware, does it match the lastest KONICA firmware?

i would do a print out of your dip switches.

I have gotten a 920 before that has some weird shit, did a side by side comparison with a current machine, found they had switches on that had no setting anywhere.

Locking options and other screens.

One of the software switches turns that off and on, pretty sure of that.

We have installed the latest konica minolta firmware. The question is which one dipsw.

methogod
12-24-2012, 02:05 PM
Print out the list with shows all settings, it will list all dip switch settings.

then have someone on the board do the same for a konica version, compare.

should only be a few that are different - look up those, in konica manual - eliminate until you find the switch that turns OEM ON/OFF back on.

Not that complicated - you seems to really want to do this, so this is what you need to do.

if you can get me the lists ill take shot at it, done it before.

methogod

its not going to be a listed in SM.

Go into Service Mode. Print out dipsw that will be in the manual, print a management list (complete).

then scan it to the board.

I know know as much about the newer mid volume B&W machines, but on the older B&W productions variants i know its management list, i just tried it on a C650 and it did not give me the dipsw settings, may have to look into it further.

do you have a konica 501 in the field you can have someone go line by line with on?

may not figure out which switches it is, but will get it back to KM stock.

tmathiou

This is the dipSW table.

methogod
12-27-2012, 09:37 AM
Post directions how to print this list, so someone with a 501 can print this for you...

my only note is that compared to a color machine your DipSW 10

should be 00000110 HEX 06

try that..

cant hurt maybe there are more then one KONICA setting, one that sets, one that protect's/hides for 3rd parties.

I am sure OCE has gotten tired of tech converting re-selling their machines.
