Does anyone know these Canon machines? Is it better or worst compared with KM machines (from C6500 to C8000)? The speed is near C6000/7000 and the price is near C8000, this is all I know right now :)

Hello,

I know perfectly those engines, each engine have positive and negative points.

First question is about the montly print volume, untill 150K/Month the KM works well but not much. the Canon imagePRESS 6010 goes well untill 300k/month. (VP version)

Registration is perfect on ImagePRESS, very worst on C6500 (and C7000) KM, about C8000, I don't know!

Quality on coated paper is perfect for Canon from 64gsm to 325gsm, for KM (C6500) it is good from 135gsm to 250gsm.

Colors are more glossy on Canon. Red color on KM is not very good.

Canon is less good than KM for strutured papers.

Reliability of KM after 3years is decreasing.

If you have a specific question, ask me.

You can read the post on that site about each engine, you will find the break point of each one.

Kind regards,
