Hi,
C550/552 is a good office machine.
C5500 is an entry level production machine/ better build quality (not much plastic), better image quality (as a printer not copier), tighter registration tolerances, can handle a much wider array of paper stocks. This machine is more labour intensive than C550.

It all depends on what you are using the machine for, if you only use non-coated stocks and are not too fussed with image quality then go for the C550/552
If you are anal about image quality, registration and need to print on a wide variety of stocks then the C5500 is the better machine.
One thing though, the C5500 is quite an old model now, i would be looking at a C6000.
