Greetings, all ye geniuses.

I inherited this problem yesterday. For a year, give or take a few months, this machine's been going black (panel, you can't print, can't do anything). The last tech that was there regarding this swapped the panel assy then proceeded to complain about the customers network and powergrid. Seeing as this is a machine at the Royal Institute of Technology, division for electrical engineering, they found his arguments to be severely limited, and I agree.
The tech has left us for a competitor, so I've got nothing to go on except his written history which is severely lacking, so to say.
I printed the management lists yesterday (I was on site for another problem, C-2551), noticing that the service code C-F023 had appeared roughly around the time this problem started. Three days before that, they had C-11A0 (only once).
When this happens, the customer turns off the main switch, unplugs the machine for 15 seconds, then turns it back on which solves the problem, for a while. According to my contact on site, it's been happening more and more during the last couple of months.

From what I can tell, the only thing the last tech replaced was the panel assy, no boards or power supply. Our sales personell is all over the case, they've been trying to put a new machine on site for a good year now, but since the customer feels the service is lacking due to the last tech not doing much (ever), I feel I need to resolve this so that we can replace this heap of junk.

Any and all tips and tricks are welcome.

Thanks in advance, all!

Paul, I do not and will never need a manual ;)

Spidula; Thanks, I found that FW just after I posted this thread. I haven't been back on site yet, but I'll be going out next week.

I'll keep y'all posted, if anyone's got any other ideas about hardware or whatnot, I'm all ears!
