    Removing Peerless Controller

Have an old C350 which came with a peerless controller.
Is there anything special I need to know about removing the controller and putting it back to the internal engine?
    Has anyone done this before?

    Thanks.

just remove it with the power switch off on both devices.

the peerless isnt a bad device on the rare occasion that it works properly, its MUCH faster than the c350 internal controller and produces better print quality with the added benefit of being the only way the c350 can fax.

You will need to in service mode change the controller number to use, and i dont remember which number it is for the internal.

thats all you have to do, infact you dont even have to unplug or it physically remove it, changing the controller number is all thats required. then you can setup the internal network port and plug it into your network. There may be a cover over it if it has never been used before.

"Controller 3 - The Standard Controller is used."

      Straight from service manual.

yes, i remember it being something stupid like that now. God forbid it from being something logical like the first number.
