here is the code definition
F45-03 Color registration base line correction /R results in abnormality.

F45-03 at power up.
[Solution]
CAUSE: Loss of 5V DC output from the printer driver board (PRDB) to PS9 (color registration sensor/R), due to CN376 on the PRDB not seating properly.

SOLUTION: To verify the 5V DC output on CN376-4B of the PRDB, perform the following:
1. Power the copier ON.
2. Using a voltmeter (20V DC range), confirm the 5V DC output on CN376-4B on the PRDB.
3. Reseat CN376 on the PRDB or replace the PRDB (p/n 65AA-9030) as necessary.good luck

Pull out the transfer/drum unit assy ( 2 handles ) pull out assy far as it can go, look inside to the upper left inside copier, you will see a metal bar going across, this is called the registration unit assy, there are 3 optical sensors, 2 screws hold it in place deep in the back, 1 connector, remove 2 screws, and 1 connector, the unit will come right out.
Take a look at the shutters, make sure you have springs on 2 of the s8 and s9 sensors, also make sure there is not to much toner build up on the sensor windows, clean them, can of air works best, return back to machine, connector is a #$%& WITHOUT LONG ARMS.
Power on holding the 3 and the 6 button at the same time, wait for 15 seconds and let go, you will be in 36 mode, select process adjust, timing adjust, automatic registration adjust, and start.
you should be good to go after that.

Thanks for the link. Don't remember ever looking into the 'production print' category of copiers before. I'm sure I will be paying more attention now that we are selling the C6500's.

I agree with Colormethis, Usually that will fix it for a while but the machine probably needs a pm and all drums and developer. i usually see that code when the developer is getting old. remember these machines go by sleeve rotation distance and not actual page count.
