To what level do they want the drive formatted?
Does your customer also understand that the drive is set with encryption which matches only the copier to which the drive was originally installed?
What I would do in your situation is charge a fee for HDD wiping or removal. If we have a customer that wants the drives wiped, we prefer to turn around and give them the drive and put in a new one at the customers expense.
If they have the drive, then they can't complain that the drive wasn't wiped correctly.Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.Comment
