Hi all,

We recently installed a full set of DU-104 drums in a c6500 machine as we were experiencing spotting on the black and yellow DU-102 drums and discussed here the 104 option eliminates the spotting, the machine has run just 1.5k since the new drums and today it has ripped the transfer belt quite badly.
We don't want to just throw another transfer belt in without looking into why this has happened further, any ideas??

Cheers

Did it tear at the transfer belt sep claws ?

We used to just run the machines without them and it wasnt a problem unless crap paper was used.

Yes, the machine has the sep claws off it also and the stock that was being used is the same as it has for the passed twelve months

it is hard to tell where the tear started from as it is pretty bad

Well your gonna have to by a new belt anyways, make sure to put a new blade and put plenty of kaynard powder to lubricate the belt. Turn it by hand and make sure the belt turns without alot of resistance and it doesn't walk side to side. Double check your drums are seated properly and slap the puppy right back in and hope for the best. Also is the machine getting routine pm's and maintenance?
