This finisher has continually broken the exit belt stopper. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm assuming that the eject belt/stopper is in the saddle stitcher section.

I struggled with a FS-528 on a PRO950. The eject belt kept tracking off the front of the top pulley, deforming the tray, and damaging the attached stopper. On the fourth belt replacement, I installed the lower timing belt pulley opposite of the way it came from the factory, after all, it's just an idler, right?

To my delight it seemed to track better, and I haven't needed to touch it since. Note: there is a timing adjustment that needs to be done to align the stopper, and a belt tension adjustment. Be sure to look those up.

Does that help? =^..^=

Hi,
This has been a worldwide issue since the release of this finisher.
There has been a release of firmware (V21) that is supposed to resolve. This new firmware moves the algnment plate out of the way so customers cannot accidentally damage this when removing the stacker assembly.
