Hi Guys,

We have a C652 with a FS526 on. The customer complaint that the machine shows "component open" as far as my experience go, you'll receive that notification if the relay unit is plugged into the machine without the FS being connected....

The finisher was plugged in and still display the fault. We tested the relay PWB and found that it was the cause for the open component notification. We replaced the relay PWB, and still got the fault....

Later we establish that it is the FS that blow the relay PWB's. The FS is equipped with a SD-508, PK-516 and a PI-505. We have checked all the PWB's for open ICP's (on all FS PWS's as well as accessory PWB's) and found they were all fine....

We inspected the PWB's for any visible damage, as well as any broken wires, or dead shorts to earth and non were found.

We are a bit afraid of replacing any board, thinking that that particular PWB might blow. Do any one have any suggestions were or what we can do, as we are at the end of the rope.

We have used the FS and relay unit on two different machines, with the same effect. So we have ruled out the fact that it might be the machine.

Kind Regards,
Eugene

A bad door switch maybe? OR maybe one of the options is faulty. I had a C550 once with a a ZU attached that threw a false jam that never registered in the machine. We never could figure it out, replaced boards, sensors, motors, wire harness etc. So it was removed, and the problem was solved.
