Have a C6501 that is due for new DV Units (600k), any chance i can let them go once more cycle (200K)?? without issue...

mostly printing is 12x18, and such, so everything is 2 clicks, high coverage... always hits distance before percentage on the PM/parts.

Save me a nice piece if change if i can wait another Cycle...

thoughts...

thoughts...have seen these go as high as 2 mill. and have seen them not even make 500k. (in any case they are not going to fall apart simply because they hit end of life count) If the images look good and there is not a lot of spillage from the ends and heavy misting all the way across I'd say run them till they quit working.

I agree, I have had some go past 1 million. 600k is a guideline for the estimated life.

I agree with the previous replies, if the units look ok then let them run for another cycle, then check again. 600k is recommended life but most times you should be able to achieve 1 mill +

what do i look for?

becuase i think the same thing, all four of them are at the end of there 3 cycle...

no dumping but i have never seen any of my C6501s dump DV, only a bad belt/blade 1 time, and another i forgot to take out the RED screw out of a drum.

Since we use the DU104 drums i let them go about 120% before changing them but i can see the DV is weak right now at 110%, as some of the darker fills (colors) are not even.
