Hello there.

This customer needs to do some work on some thin coated paper, but it keeps wrapping on the transfer roller with jam code J3102. New transfer roller and new discharge unit made no difference; tried to play with the process adj. screen on the paper settings, to no avail. I can make the machine print at most 100 pages or so before jamming and wrapping.

On a side note, anyone knows of some good documentation on the process. adj. screen on the paper settings?

Cheers!

Neither - I'm running A3, which is the equivalent to your DLT.

Hi,
Thin coated paper and C6500/01 are not a good combination. The most critical thing is grain direction i have found. Long grain stock must be used, short grain will always give either 2nd transfer or fuser jams.

been to that...
thin coated paper..

what i did, paste it on a 13x19 250gsm paper, taping the top and both sides to prevent skewing..
and ei! hola!! it prints!

just extra job and effort needed..

THat's a great idea! Now how to convince the customer to do that to every 300.000 copies he intends to make...

Have you tried lowering the 2nd transfer voltage and print on let say thick 1.. just a thought..

I think I have my issue sorted. It looks like it was a one way clutch in the fuser drive.

fuser temperature decrease in a particular drawer. decrease the weight of the paper
to accelerate the transition fusion.

DIPSW1-0 = 1/paper setting / fixing up and lower temperature.
