Hi,

I have a Bizhub C350 in my office but it does not have a Win8 driver and KM replied me that they wouldn't prepare a Win8 driver for this copier.

I am thinking of buying a new copier, C224. But in KM website, C224 is listed as discontinued product. I read all the specifications for this 2 models and can't find any difference. I sent a message to KM customer service a week ago but they haven't replied me yet.

The links are below. Do you know the difference between C224 and C224e?

And also a copier technician advised me Utax 2550ci as an alternative copier. Is there anyone using this copier?

The e basically has a slight software upgrade and no hard key pad as standard, but the output is the same as the none "e".

The Konica Minolta is better than the Utax in my opinion.

Try a windows 7 driver and do a manual install. Chances are good it will work. I've done this on a lot of older km copiers.

The e stands for "enhanced" and include new features that increase functionality and energy savings. Specifically.......They tried to give the display more of a smart phone or tablet like feel (INFO-Palette design for multi-touch functionality with enhancements including: improved swiping; drag and drop; tap and toggle; pinch in and pinch out; as well as image rotation operations.) The control panel also offers direct access to downloadable apps from the Konica Minolta bizhub Marketplace. Enhanced scan function now allows conversion of scanned documents directly into Word or Excel files. Also , security has been expanded on these new models(to comply with the IEEE 2600.1 international standard ) And hardware improvements for energy saving....other than those improvements virtually the same machine.

I noticed in the service mode of a C284e that there may (finally) be a Wifi option card available for these machines - anybody know about this?
