4530 waste toner lock-up

I have a copystar 4530 that has bound up the waste toner auger a couple times, it makes a noise and grinds up a couple gears on the cleaning unit when it happens, anyone seen this.

There was a tech bulletin for this problem, I had a few that needed a mod kit to change out the wast toner housing or something like that.
