View Full Version : Miscellaneous c6500 Not Printing??

Ok so i have reloaded the software on this IC408 on a 6500 and set it up and i can see it and connect to it with command work station but when i send jobs to it nothing happens it all seams well even says the job has been printed but nothing comes out any ideas?? thanks

The Fiery doesn't report any error?

The jobs go from the "Waiting" queue to the "Printed" queue without any glitch (marked in red or something)?

nope no errors send job, goes to processing, to printing, to printed but nothing comes out don't know whats happening? Have been thinking about reinstalling but would rather not plus don't know if it will work. also machine was working fine on Monday then had a power outage that is what corrupted the fiery.

Also i just tried printing a PS test page from the controller screen and it then starts a 5 min countdown and say to load 8.5x11 in any valid tray?? but no option to print it on the machine screen i dont know wtf is goin on here lol

To ask a silly question

you are not printing to the hold queue are you??

About the power outage thing though I think a reload may be in order

A reload is common procedure for any tech. Are you a tech or end user, no offence intended

Also is it a IC-408 or a IC-303-305

Whenever a Fiery - irregardless of the machine it is hooked up to - starts acting up, reloading the system is the first thing to do. Fairly basic procedure, it's free (provided you already have the necessary tools) and it solves most of the problems.

If that fails, then the next usual culprit is the HD - throw in a new HD and reload the system software - see above.

Hi,
Uncheck Paper Mismatch in the Fiery settings. With this unchecked if their is any paper setting errors it will still send to the engine. Also by default print start page is on. Turn this off, this is probably causing the error as the queue is getting stuck trying to output the start page.

you can select force print, then select tray 1.

i would also make sure you can print a test sheet from the settings menu.

are you sure the LAN cable connected the lower RJ45 socket of IC408?
