Something happened back in the day, I'm not exactly sure what it was as I was just lurking here then (so it was probably some time around 2008 or 2009), but it was big enough that it brought all the games to their final end in unison. I'm pretty sure there was even an announcement about that in System Announcements (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/system-announcements/) then.
