Hello every one. This 552 has a fiery and when a customer prints to it there is a message "the optical photoconductor needs to be replaced". Doesn't say which one but prints perfectly fine. Pc prints fine without any messages. All the consumables are at 50- 60% and no messages on the control panel or the information button for fiery when selected. Any one got any ideas? Upgrading the F/W on the copier right now. I never had any experience with the fiery controller so don't want to mess with it just for the sake of it.

Yeah, this is a common (though not a real problem) problem with the Fiery enabled Bizhubs. Even with the PPLM firmware installed (turns off the life stop and message notifications) the Fiery will continue to message when consumables are at or past their limits. You can try to turn off SNMP communications in the Fiery admin page, this will stop the 2 way communications but may induce other problems. Another method is to tell the customer what is happening and ask them to disregard the message, and when CQ is suffering the affected items will be replaced. Emujo

Ensure the customer is using the genuine KM downloaded driver for their computer and NOT the "generic postscript printer" driver that the mac will use by default.

if you use the default generic postscript printer driver you will have all kinds of warnings about non existent events, this includes the new 4 series too.
