I don't necessarily want to pass the buck but I'd like to decipher where the problem lies.
Company has 3 of these 5500i's and the other 2 don't have any problems which makes this companies IT people absolutely positive that this is the machine, not their network or server. Xp workstation prints invoices to a 2008 r2 print server that sends the jobs to 5500i. They rapid fire 10-20 jobs at a time then randomly, one will hang up and no subsequent jobs will print till the machine is rebooted.
Data light doesn't flash, nothing in job status, copy function works fine, can ping machine from workstation and connect to command workstation.
I want to take one of the other 2 machines and switch with this troublesome machine and see what happens. If it starts acting up in the other department I'll feel more comfortable throwing boards at it.
Any suggestions on how to source the problem? As always, any input is appreciated.
