Hi, I am a new member of your forum. I have a konica 8020 and a problem too.
When machine finish the warminp up mode at the start up an alert apears (near trouble P8, P21). Is that a major problem?
In addition when i print a ps test page the yellow color has mooved 2-3cm from other colors. The cyan magenta and black is printed ok (the one above the other).
How may i fix these problems?
Please if anyone has answers about that let me know.:)

The P-8 code is a yellow IU failure and the P-21 is a color test pattern failure which is caused by a transfer belt anomaly.............. I suppose the first question is, are you a technician? If not its time to call your local service entity as these problems will be a bit over your head.

If indeed you are NOT a technician, the chances of you fixing the machine are slim to none! What the machine is telling you is that all the IU's have failed (low density or possibly high density but doubtful) you may want to dial up you local service people!

Try the forced toner add in the service mode, then run gradation and see what happens.

I would take a old yellow imaging unit and take a little developer out of that unit pour it in the unit which gives you the p8 code and see if it comes to ready with out the error code. If the code appears clear it and repeat one more time, if it still doesn't work get a new yellow iu and give that a try. But if your not a tech this may be greek. good luck.

The lever that moves the color registration shutter is broken.
