View Full Version : KM C654 Strange copy issue when using Document Feeder only

I have an issue with a C654 only when making colour copies or scanning from the document feeder.
A line, or multipal lines, appeare on the copies or scanned images and these lines can be any colour and they move across the paper/image.
I had this call turned over to me from another tech who has been pulling out his hair.
All items related to the document feeder scanning and scanner itself have been cleaned thuroughly.
I currently have a ticket in with tech support, go figure they haven't seen this problem before.
The line/s are very thin and jump all over any where on the page.
There is no issue what so ever with the drum units, transfer belt, fuser or the laser slit glass.
any ideas, or has any one else seen this issue?

I'd suspect the CCD ..however...connections / usually cause similar problems... I'd start by disconnecting all connectors to the Read unit...then perhaps change the interface cable to the MFP from the scanner CCD.

Have you tried calibrations?

Is this machine set up to scan, and have you experienced the problem on scans only? =^..^=

Yes this machine is set up to scan to folder only. This issue only happens when scanning from the docfeedeer using Auto or Full colour. This has 7 techs stumped as to what to do next. Tech support in the US say its a new one to them. I even spoke to the product specialist for this model.
