if its 10.7 or newer forget about it, its not an option at all with the c450 it will never work, period. research enabling the ftp server functionality on the mac and use that method.

What about just re-enabling the old SMB protocols?

for us personally we don't go installing unknown software or make large changes to customers computers, sure there may be a way of getting it to work like it used to. For me and my companies safety the answer is no, and you must upgrade (its more money in my pocket anyway)

unrelated, but, recently I had a customer running 10.8 and it was working perfectly scanning to smb off a C203 with the special firmware to do so. Some mysterious update was performed on the computer unknown to me and it ceased working ever again. I had to change over to ftp.

Im with you, I am not installing third party software or messing with customers computers. I understand the upgrade reasons. I suspect that is why.

I think they are more intrested in SMB scanning then using the FTP
Thanks!
