Recommendation for Clearing the Customers Data

    Hi there,

if I ask different people how they clear the customers data after swapping/getting back a machine I kinda get different answeres and recommendation. Person A tells me just I need to format the HDD, person B says I need to perform "clear data", person C thinks I have to perform both plus initialize fax seperately.

What do you guys perform on common models (e.g. C280)?

    Depends on the customer's needs

    1.Don't care...logical format.
    2. Need to be sure no personal info, image files, can be accessed later..HDD wipe, level 1 at least
    3. Want's to be 100% sure any info is removed..pull HDD, give to customer and bill for new HDD.

it is always a good idea to cover your ass and do some kind of low level cleanup. Emujo
