Hi,
I have broken C6500 machine, which has no PRCB and got PRCB from C6501P. Do you know if this combination will work (C6501P's print controller board in C6500)? In parts manual there's is tiny difference in part numbers A03U R759 11 vs. A03U R759 00.

Thanks for replying,
Bartek

different series...

would not chance it...

unless everything is the same, match up part for part...

What about C500's PRCB? Less differences in specification between those two...

Whats the diffence in spec matter? I've worked on boards and if they are not the same part number, they are not the same. I wouldn't chance it either but I would love to know the results.

I would think it will work, but you will have to turn off scanning on the C6500, which will no longer be a C6501 one you install that PCB.

IMO...

if all the connectors match up, and there is just 1 or 2 extra i would think those are for the scanning part of your standard C6500...

i am sure HYTEC would know better then me...

Printer control boards are the same between C6500, C6501, and C6501P. The board you have will work fine. Just be sure to check the firmware version after you install it. May need to be flashed to match the Image Processing firmware level.

Note on KM part numbers;

Last two digits are a revision level. In this case the original board PN A03U R759 00 has 00 as the revision level, original part not revised. Replacement board is A03U R759 11, same part but revision 11. I have seen the last two digits turned into 3 like A03U R759 17E (I made this number up for illustration) the last digit as a letter means they went to hex or alpha as the numbers ran out.

Thank you, dljorg! That was very valuable answer.
The copier works fine for months now, because I managed to exchange the board for C6500 - it turns out, that I was unnecessary.
