Is there any way to get a C350 to print and scan with Win 8 computers? It does not have the Fiery just the standard controller.

My IT person said standard controller is PCL 5 and win 8 don't support it.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Konica stopped after Vista.

Should print through a shared driver tho, no?

You need new Frimware to support this. I have it but it isn't free. Email me at paul@justmanuals.com

If your driver is not available yet or is not listed yet in the print drivers within Windows 8, you can use "Windows Update" to refresh your printer list. Please follow the steps listed:

From "Devices and Printers," click "Add a Printer"
Choose a printer port (new or existing)
Click the Windows Update button (you must be connected to the internet)
After a few minutes, the Manufacturer list will be updated
Select Konica, Minolta, or Konica Minolta and find the corresponding driver
Install as usual

The C350 is not listed. You can also try a generic ps driver.

Ahhhh, No.

The C350 doesnt do PS without a fiery / peerless (with PS option) Its PCL only on the standard internal controller.

Have you tried the Vista driver?
It worked fine in Windows 7 so it might work also in W8.

You can also simply just use an HP Colour Driver.

Sure, you lose some functionality of the machine, but that is the price to pay if you don't want to upgrade your machine.

Make sure you pick an HP Driver that is PCL5c compatible.

Are you sure dude? I'm pretty sure I've set up a few of them with PS without a Fiery.

From SSD bulletin TAUS0648273EN from 2006
The Standard Controller is a PCL controller only.

From the service manual dated 2005

Printer Languages supported
PCL5e emulation

PCL6 (XL 2.1) emulation

PostScript 3 emulation

I do not know who is correct on this one as I do not have any left and have not personally worked on them.

Just an FYI for the C350... 12/2013 is the obsolescence date.

I'm going to have to let my customer know about that. She does have 3 of them.
