HI Guy,

I installed a PB501 on C6500 (Version 30 and Version 1.1 for Fiery), PB501 is in version 20.

This new configuraton works but sometime the error code C-C101 appears!

To remove the error code it is necessary to unplug the PB501 switch On/Off and replug the unit!

DO you have any experiences about this ?

it might have something to do with it but on the other hand what does this have to do with the pb unit. When the code comes up you turn off the machine unplug the unit and it works fine. try next time it comes up turn off the power buttons unplug the power cord wait 1 min plug it in and see if it resets that way. 1. should of ask this first does it come up with the machine pluged in always or just after a while it comes up..you do have the firmware for the6500 and not the 1050 right

Hello,

The complete config is :

C6500 + RU503 + SD501 + PB501.

PB501 Version 20

C6500 Version 30

RU503 Version 30

SD501 (I dont remember but upgraded for engine V30).

The problem looks like a communication problem between modules, probably a software problem.

Hi !

I found the cause of error code C-C101 after installation of Perfect Binder.

The problem was caused because the installation was not properly done (according to the manual). the last step is : recall data factory default, in order to load the PB501 datas into the engine, If you don't do that , you have the error code C-C101.
A sign of this problem is when you check the glue circuit temperature into tech rep mode, all values are at zero (instead of 145, 180...).

Hi I am also having PB 501 problems. Mine jams after about 8 books and makes a horrible noise! Is there a chance you could send me a copy of a pb 501 service manual!!

There is a KM service department in YOUR city. Call them for service.
