Hello,

So i just just got a c6500 with the Fiery 65c-km.
The issue is on the copier display panel when i run a job it does not show the number of copies being printed.
(this happens only when i send a job from the computer)
When i log into CWS i can see the number of copies.

Do i need to setup something, seems strange all its displays is 1 even if I'm making 100 copies.

Any info would help.

Thanks,
Rak

Hello ,

Unfortunately, you cant see copies amount on machine's LCD panel.

Fiery processing the job and sent to engine like a poscript file.

Can you send job via direct queue. maybe help to you.

Regards.

Gürkan.

So that is by design, to not be able to see the count?

I have an old bizhub pro c500 and on the screen i can the the number of copies..

Yes, i have the jobs sent direct queue.

Thanks,
Rak

Hi,
This is specification. It is due to the way the Fiery sends the job. It sends pages until the memory fills in the machine and then pauses until memory is cleared. The engine does not know how large the print file is.

The RIP on the C500 is a Fiery 50C-KM.

I tried direct queue, and same results no count on screen.

This there a way around this?

Thanks..

Hi,
Fiery works differently on C500 compared to C6500.
Basically C500 fiery sends the page info once and the C500 then duplicates for the number of prints required.
Fiery on C6500 sends each page (100 prints of one page will be sent 100 times)
I hope this clarifies your question.

Thanks for the info, that make's sense.. that's why the screen always say 1 copy..

So the best way to find copy count information is through the CWS?

Thanks..

You are correct. CWS is the only way.

Hi,
Login name has to include the domain or workgroup name
For example
if on domain Konica and user name was Mick
the user name would be Konica\Mick

I would suggest though setting up scan to FTP. It is much easier.
