This machine only has 140k on it has starting getting these jams. I have tried replacing the registration and pre registration clutches. Found out it only seems to do this from the PFU trays 1,2,3 are fine. I Then tried replacing the last clutch that drives the paper out of the PFU still getting these jams. Has anyone seen this or have a direction for me to go next.

I was having a similar issue and it was very intermittent. There are 3 clutches in the PFU and it could be any one of those 3. They are all the same so what I did was order 1 clutch swap them till I found the one that was acting up. It's not the most efficient way but it saves you from buying more clutches than you need.

<Symptom>
There are frequent jam(J-1610/1710) from overrunning a paper when waiting paper registration for previous paper.

<Cause>
The overrunning would be gradually easier if these clutches became loosely due to the load of the brake for PFU horizontal conveyance & for intermediate conveyance of main body. Then, jam occurs when the overrun is greater than limitation.

<Solution>
Mounting brake kit to reduce the load of these clutch to intermediate roller of main body & pre-registration roller of PFU.
*Countermeasure kit
<For body> Part Name :C7000/6000 brake kit Part Number :A1DUR90200
<For PFU> Part Name :PFU brake kit Part Number :A0U4R90100

<Subject Model>
For main body :bizhubPRESS C7000/C7000P/C6000/C70hc
For PFU :PF-602/PF-602m

Order and fit these modified parts for J-1710.
J-1701 is related to not picking up paper in tray. Confirm you have the correct paper type/weight in the tray and adjust air assist.

Replacing the horizontal conveyance clutches took care of the issue. In talking to our Konica DSM he has said that replacing the clutches with part number 57GA82010 instead of the original clutches part number 56AA82012 would be better as they are stronger.

I'll keep that in mind if mine starts acting up like that again. Thanks for the follow up.
