Getting a Jam 81, only on the first 1 or 2 prints or copies in the morning. It then runs fine all day. It's a KM-6030 with a DF-650 finisher & the paper is stopped at the finisher paper entry roller.

I've got a couple of possibilities for you:

Misfeeds (Jam J81) leaving accordianned, image paper face down at finisher entrance. PES (paper entry sensor) is dirty. Clean PES.

Misfeeds (Jam J81) leaving accordianned, image paper face down at fuser exit, with front leading edge hooked into the feedshift gate fingers (1M prints). Upper right plastic guide on the duplex tray is broken at the clip, leaving no gap between the upper & lower guide at the front. Paper is deformed passing through duplex, then snags on the feedshift gate while exiting the machine. Replace right guide (2FB19060), two springs (302FB19180), two stoppers (2FB07330), Film (302FB19560), and C-clip (2BC06910).

I suggest you look up the part numbers in the parts book to acquaint yourself with the location. =^..^=

you may also look at the solenoid stopper foam pad on the switchback assy it gets sticky after time and you need to remove/replace it

I'd go with the sticky pad at the eject guide. The machine is feeding into Tray A - Stapling/Offset Tray the machine is putting the paper into the duplex unit for turn over. The guide being stuck to the frame at the pad isn't being actuated by a very weak solenoid. Therefore the paper is going into the finisher too fast creating the jam which is a timing issue. Remove the pad and all the glue with a solvent and you'll be fine, the pad is only there to limit noise which is minimal any way.
