There is a tech bulletin about adjusting the reading motor tension, adding some spacing washers, changing the flag sensor, changing the front and back lever assemblies, and changing the gear assembly. I've been fighting this issue for about a year seeing it mostly with customers with high scanning volume. I've recently did the levers and spacers for a customer and need to check on them to see if it's finally resolved this issue.

Replace the front and rear lever assys.. They changed the design of them recently, and we had a couple jamming and we replaced them, and that seemed to do the trick.

Here's the part numbers for the updated parts: (A143PP9P01 Lever Assy (Front) ) & (A143PP9Q01 Lever Assy (Rear) )

Jam codes? =^..^=

A common jam, (cost-free!), on these models is the angled sensor on the top cover of the adf. It's easy to overlook but is very prone to paper dust, I promise it's a legit fix for registration jams. Just clean it.

yeah seems the levers are in demand lol I ordered some and it took about a week longer for them to come in. The jam codes you normally see are 66-02. Tech bulletin TAUS1200978EN has all the info....it's been revised 4 times so far...

Appears since KMBS has updated their knowledge base, that TAUS1200978EN is no more and has been replaced by this KBA01200978.

Jip...
The square hole for the reflective sensor black out gets paper fragments in there.

Hmm when I search for that one under the bulletins I don't see it either?

Neither bulletin #s can be found.

To me...... the paper present actuator with the added magnet is one of the best resolves for 66-02.

Only occurs when utilizing the 70 OPM option during scanning.

I believe that one is 66-05, but we still don't know what code the poster is getting. =^..^=

Happen to have the part number for that? Thanks

See my post on 66-02 jams for this feeder. The left cover (lid) is warping upward. When it reaches about 25mm or more from the original table to the underside of the cover, the paper empty flag is too high and the angled area no longer hits the feed tires shaft at it's bent spot. This makes it bounce and read another false page, then tried to feed against the black felt friction pads. Our shop fix is applying about 39 lbs of weight to the feeder lid for a week or two, then put it out in the field. So far they have not warped back up. Any lid 23~24mm is fine. 25+ you will get 66-02 jams after last page is fed.
Prove it by simply pressing down with medium pressure on the cover. It won't fail! I posted slo no video proving this fix. The magnet in the actuator is just a band aid.
