Have a customer with a fx-2080. It\'s configured with extra
fax memory and a second cassette. they have legal in the
lower cassette and letter in the upper cassette.
The problem is intermittent but when they receive say a
two page legal fax it kicks out the two page fax and then just
keeps spitting out legal paper until it decides whenever it
wants to quit. No consistancy to the amount of blanks it
spits out.
Originally thought it was a problem with the second cassette
but it has done the same thing once with the letter cassette
lately.
They had the fax line checked out by the phone co. &
found nothing wrong so we went ahead and replaced the machine.
Ran fine for a while and then it started doing the same thing.
I thought ok its got to be on their end.
meanwhile our fax needed some work so I replaced it with the
original fx-2080 to check it out and make sure it was ok.
Ran great for about a week but came in one morning to a
stack of blank legal sheets on the machine.
any ideas?
