Hi all,

I got a C353 problem with magenta, as attached this sample suppose to print full page of magenta from the test print.

The machine was working fine, until we send to to customer site 2nd floor.

steps that have been done

1) replaced IU unit, exactly same pattern came out.
2) swap with another PH unit, same pattern came out.
3) suspect loose flat cable, reconnect them, same pattern came out

any help will be appreciate.

Hi,
You dind't mention anything about Transfer Belt...take it out and inspect M transfer roller.

Two things come to mind:

1) Make sure that the machine is basically level. Theoretically it would affect all colors ... but stranger things have happened. Once its level, you will need to tip the IU to redistribute the developer. It seems to take forever for the developer to level out by itself.
2) Emergency stop the machine with that full coverage image to see exactly where you're losing the image: at the drum? at the primary transfer belt? at the secondary transfer? (probably not) It may take several tries to stop the machine with the image in the right spot.

1. Bring the iu to another machines works great. Only on magenta black cyan works just fine.

2. Done this, at the transfer looks exactly as the print out. To check on drum for this is killing to get it. Still can't get anything. Hense I change the PH

On some primary transfer units it's common for the individual transfer rollers to become unsnapped from they're mounts, and the miniscule bushings to roll away where they'll never be found again.

Also check the electrical connections. Meter from the metal part of the transfer roller to the contact set. Remember that those transfer rollers are rotating during normal operation, so the only time you'll get near zero ohms resistance is when its turning. High voltage contacts usually work best without lubrication. "Conductive" grease typically is not all that conductive, and on low current connections can introduce resistance when there was none. What I'm getting at, is do not lubricate high voltage contacts, or change the lubrication that came with it. It's surprisingly easy to create problems where there weren't any.

Since you moved the MFP just previous to the problem, I'm guessing that either the Magenta print head has become dislodged, or one of the connections from the HVT has disconnected. Emujo

just as Blizzoo said

problem is on the M transfer roller. for some unknown reason the roller is dislocated hence it did not touch the drum surface properly.

thx a lot for the helps

need more experience

This is how you get that experience. Most times the diagnosis is the hardest part. Congratulations on a successful fix. =^..^=
